Power Hours
Sometimes, all it takes is an hour!
Whether you are a small business owner or sole trader starting out or reaching overwhelm (we’ve all been there!), or a charity leader with a lot on your plate, spend an hour with me to get your head straight. Or, you might just want some advice or to pick my brains on a particular subject.
Either online or in person (always better with a cuppa in my view), we’ll have no agenda other than to empty your head of whatever it’s full of. No pressure and no preparation needed. I’ll ask you questions to tease out what the issues are, and we’ll talk through priorities, helping you get clear on what you need to focus on first.
You’ll leave feeling better that you have shared and downloaded everything, have a renewed sense of perspective and priority. I will follow up with notes outlining all we talked about, often with extra thoughts I’ve thought of since, and likely a load of contacts and sources of information as well.
“Wow, that was a bloody brilliant use of an hour. Thank you so much for giving me the kick up the bum I needed as well as the contacts - I feel as strongly as you do about promoting local business so that’s really useful.”
“I loved the fact it was a set hour rather than 'a meeting' as this would make me nervous thinking I had to prepare loads to talk about. Thank you!”
Heather Harris, Power Hour client
What can we talk about?
We can talk about whatever you’d like! Whether it’s around running a small business or charity, or about community or local knowledge, I’d love to chat. Some ideas of Power Hours I’ve done before…
Where do I start? A sole trader starting out - overwhelm of what to do first (branding, website, socials, email, domain names, GDPR, policies, Ts&Cs - the list is endless!). What should I do myself, what should I outsource, how do I even do all these things, how much do things cost?
Something is wrong - help! This new to the role trustee came to me with some concerns about the governance of the charity, and I advised her of things to look for and do to help the situation. Works for employees too!
How can I do all this? With endless options of what digital marketing this business owner could or should be doing, we worked through what should be her priority, where to focus her time, and gave her permission to stop trying to do all the things.
Should I go freelance? Tell me your feelings and thoughts about it, and I’ll help you work it through, adding in my experience of what it’s like for me, communities I can recommend, and ideas if you want them
How do I get started with volunteering or being a trustee? Chat through what you’re keen to do and ask me anything about how charities work, what volunteering can look like, what a trustee does. (Also, I love chatting about how to set up a Repair Café!)
What’s bothering you or holding you back? Let’s have a chat and untangle it!
PS - if you’ve landed here but want to talk about working together for more than just an hour, take a look at the rest of my site, and book in a free discovery call in the footer!
